Pencil Portrait Gallery

The portrait in all its forms has always been a priority in my art. I enjoy the challenge, where conventional values such as pleasing, beautiful and aesthetic need not be a measure for determining the value of art. Being true to what is real, and an appreciation for the individual is what makes portraiture so interesting.

The graphite pencil is a medium that lends its self well to the bold textures, delicate tones and the finer details that are needed in portraiture and other realistic studies.
